Oils can be a healthy addition to your diet but there’s a right kind and place. Toss your canola oil, PERIOD! Avoid all vegetable oil for that matter. When cooking, stick to organic avocado or coconut oil. Or you can use a broth instead of oil for cooking. Don’t cook with olive oil unless at a very low heat. Otherwise, Extra Virgin Organic Olive Oil is great to drizzle over salads, Mediterranean, Italian or other dishes to add to your savory tastes. Organic nut and seed oils can be used as well. Even with all that said, you will always get more nutrients if you eat the whole food source rather than eating the oil. So, go for the olives over olive oil or coconuts over coconut oil.
